Japanese vegetable garden

Tomoko Yamane and Ayumi Matsuzaka started a Japanese garden at

Prinzessinnengarten in Moritzplatz, Kreuzberg, Berlin from spring 2011.

Tomoko was so long looking for a possibility to use fresh Japanese vegetables and

herbs for her catering OKAWARI. Ayumi has an energy cycle art project since 2010.

We, both beginners as gardeners, take part in the mobile garden project

in Prizessinnengarten. In each harvesting season, OKAWARI is going to use fresh

vegetables for the organizing events such dinner, workshop, cooking sessions inside of

the program of Prinzessinnengarten! We will update the information here.

Do you miss touching the soil? Then you are invited to join us!

Japanese New Year

I spent New Year holidays last year with my familly.

Japanese New Year is very quiet and calm.

We eat the special foods called “Osechi”

The dishes each have a special meaning celebrating the New Year.

I really like simple homemade one.

I want to introduce many nice japanese foods this year at Berlin!

Silvester in Neukölln Berlin

My first New Year’s Eve in Berlin.

It was fireworks, fireworks, fireworks!

After that, we ate a Kebab and rice porridge for breakfast at my friend’s house…
